Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. 

The new team has three locations. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. We have recently opened Sauber Motorsport Technology Center in the UK. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations with support from the UK.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is at Sauber in Hinwil (Switzerland).
Deine Aufgabe
  • Collaborate closely with aerodynamicists and CFD engineers to create high-quality aerodynamic surfaces
  • Design and develop complex surface models using CATIA 3DExperience 
  • Continuously refine and enhance our sophisticated surface modeling methodologies
  • Contribute directly to the aerodynamic performance of the race car through rapid iteration and cross-functional teamwork
  • Drive innovative aerodynamic concepts within the CAD environment
  • Prepare and optimize CAD models for CFD simulation in collaboration with aerodynamicists
Dein Profil
  • Technical education: background in design (technical college), mechanical engineering (university of applied sciences), or technical design with relevant experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in surface design—motorsport (Formula 1) experience is a plus
  • Expert-level skills in CATIA (V5/V6/3Dx) and deep knowledge of the GSD (Generative Shape Design) workbench
  • Strong spatial awareness, visualization skills, and creative problem-solving ability
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently under pressure
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Self-driven, pragmatic, and passionate about cutting-edge technology and motorsport
  • Fluent in English; German skills are an advantage
