Join the Audi F1 Project - Shape the Future of Motorsport!

Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.

The new team has three locations. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Sauber Motorsport Technical Center, UK will be operational this year. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations.

What you need? The mindset of an athlete. If you are someone for whom giving up isn’t an option and limits are just something to be overcome, you can bring Vorsprung durch Technik to Formula 1 with us. Become part of this unique project and make motorsport history.

This position for the Audi F1 Project is at Sauber in Hinwil (Switzerland).

Your mission
  • Develop the numerical and optimization methods at the core of our simulation tools, such as lap time simulation, DIL simulator, suspension simulation, and telemetry data analysis
  • Implement state-of-the-art simulation methodologies to aid in the optimization of vehicle performance and vehicle development
  • Optimize the source code for computational efficiency
  • Analyze and improve the numerical robustness of the simulation model
  • Ensure model quality through the implementation of CI/CD processes
  • Contribute to the development of the physics model of the vehicle
  • Prepare documentation and presentations for software users
