Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.  
 
 Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.  
 
The new team has three locations. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. We have recently opened Sauber Motorsport Technology Center in the UK. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations with support from the UK.

This position for the Audi F1 Project is at Sauber in Hinwil (Switzerland).
Your mission
  • Be part of our CAD‑PLM Team to drive and support the continuous improvement of our digital PLM processes, on which engineering, fabrication, assembly, and race‑track operations depend, by ensuring flawless functioning and integration of the 3DExperience PLM system.

  • Support our highly qualified designers with their CATIA‑3DExperience issues and methodologies.

  • Play an active role in the further development of our CATIA‑3DExperience platform (e.g. researching new applications and functionalities to integrate into our processes, managing platform customisations, and participating in release/upgrade projects).

  • Enhance our CAD/PLM methodologies for design processes, and conduct training and support.

  • Install and configure CATIA workstations, including user‑ and client‑configurations.

  • Ensure that our systems are optimally aligned with current needs and future growth.

Your profile
  • A completed technical study or higher technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive, Computer Science or a comparable field; a bachelor’s degree in engineering is also acceptable.

  • Practical experience in the use, support, and administration of modern CAD and PLM systems.

  • Thorough knowledge of CATIA‑3DExperience and/or CATIA‑V5.

  • Good understanding of design‑methods within CAD and PLM.

  • Additional experience with CAM and CAE applications is a plus.

  • Programming skills (e.g. Visual Basic, macros, scripting, etc.).

  • Good command of German and English, both verbal and written.
