 Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. 
 
 The new team has three locations. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Sauber Motorsport Technical Center, UK will be operational this year. The Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations.

Your mission
  • Contribute to the Aerodynamic Department with a special focus on structural analysis and aeroelasticity
  • Lead development projects and activities, ensuring the improvement and reliability of Advanced Engineering (AE) methodologies
  • Collaborate with Aerodynamics, Design Office, R&D, Composite, Manufacturing and Vehicle Performance teams to integrate AE solutions effectively
  • Apply interdisciplinary expertise to support the structural and aerodynamic development of car components
  • Manage and coordinate aeroelastic activities across departments, ensuring seamless integration and progress
  • Drive the development and implementation of solutions to enhance aeroelastic performance
Your profile
  • MSc or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related disciplines, with a focus on FEA/CFD
  • Relevant experience in F1 or high-performance motorsport environments is highly desirable
  • Proven experience in managing development projects, supervising teams, and driving innovation.
  • Expertise in race car design, structural FEA, metallic and composite analysis, and aero-elasticity or fluid-structure interaction
  • Experience with FEA and CFD tools, including Optistruct, Abaqus, Hyperworks, MSC Nastran/Patran, ANSYS, OpenFoam, Fluent, Star CCM+ and ParaView
  • Strong skills in programming (Python, Machine Learning, Linux scripting, Excel and VBA scripting) and mathematical modeling
  • Proficiency in CAD tools such as CATIA V6/3DExperience or NX, with knowledge of CATIA GSD and Part Design workbenches
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, ensure timely updates, and foster a culture of communication, creativity, and continuous learning
  • Full professional proficiency in English; German is a plus, and willingness to learn basic German is expected

Deine Aufgabe
