Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.  
 
 Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.  
 
The new team has three locations. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Sauber Motorsport Technical Center, UK will be operational this year. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations. 
 
 What you need? The mindset of an athlete. If you are someone for whom giving up isn’t an option and limits are just something to be overcome, you can bring Vorsprung durch Technik to Formula 1 with us.  This position for the Audi F1 Project is at Sauber in Hinwil (Switzerland).
Your mission
  • Responsible for the quality and the development of the pre-event simulations and methodologies
  • Remote garage support during the events
  • Responsible for the in-event and post-event analysis
  • Coordination of the in-event correlation of the offline simulation
  • Continuous improvement oaf the predictive and analysis tools
Your profile
  • Master’s degree or PHD in mechanical or automotive engineering or applied mathematics
  • 5 years’ experience in a relevant field (Vehicle Science / Vehicle Performance / Vehicle Dynamics / DiL Simulator)
  • Extensive understanding of vehicle dynamics 
  • Experience in Matlab is required, advanced level will be advantageous 
  • Accustomed to a conscientious working style under time pressure
  • Resilient as well as stress tolerant (flexibility of working hours)
  • Proficiency in English language skills. German language skills will be an advantage
