Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.

The new team has two locations. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations. The planned takeover by AUDI AG turns two teams into a factory team – and you can be part of it.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is at Sauber in Hinwil (Switzerland).

Your mission

Create automation, operating and safety concepts in accordance with industry standards with regard to compliance with plant construction guidelines and personal and functional safety
Programming and further development of PLC/HMI controls for the wind tunnel system, with a focus on Simatic S7/TIA Portal in SCL (IEC 61131)
Visualization of the various processes using WinCC
Configuring, carrying out system tests and commissioning of existing and new system equipment and components
Carrying out new and further developments of integrated drive concepts (plant engineering)
Independently analyzing faults and rectifying them
Creating documentation and supporting/training users
Leading sub-projects in interdisciplinary teams

Your profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (ETH/FH) in electrical engineering, systems engineering or automation or equivalent experience
Several years of professional experience as a PLC developer in mechanical and/ or plant engineering
Sound knowledge of PLC/PLC programming and further development of control software, with a focus on Siemens Simatic S7 – knowledge of Sinumerik is an advantage
Experience in project management (e.g. preparation of schedules, correspondence with suppliers, preparation of status reports and reports, quotation requests/comparisons with evaluation, support for acceptance and quality assessments, operational approvals)
You are a strong team player, solution-oriented, independent and focused, even in time-critical situations.
As a doer, you bring a flexible attitude towards working hours and own strong communication skills
Practical knowledge of power electronics, drive technology and sensor technology is desirable
Full professional proficiency in German or English and a willingness to learn a basic level in the corresponding other language are prerequisites

Das neue Team hat zwei Standorte. Das Kompetenzzentrum Motorsport von Audi in Neuburg (Deutschland) gilt als eines der modernsten seiner Art in Europa. Die Formel-1-Fabrik der Sauber Group in Hinwil (Schweiz) ist bekannt für innovative Technologien und Leidenschaft für den Rennsport. Dabei kommt die Power Unit aus Neuburg, während Hinwil für die Entwicklung des Chassis sowie die Race Operations zuständig ist. Die geplante Übernahme durch die AUDI AG macht aus zwei Teams ein Werksteam – und Du kannst dabei sein.

Die Stelle für das Audi F1 Project ist zu besetzen bei Sauber in Hinwil (Schweiz).

Deine Aufgabe

Erstellen von Automations-, Bedienungs- und Sicherheitskonzepten, gemäss Industriestandards, hinsichtlich Einhaltung von Anlagenbau-Richtlinien sowie der Personen- und Funktionssicherheit
Programmierung und Weiterentwicklung von SPS/HMI-Steuerungen der Windkanal-Anlage, mit Fokus auf Simatic S7/TIA Portal in SCL (IEC 61131)
Visualisierung der verschiedenen Prozesse mittels WinCC
Konfigurieren, durchführen von Systemerprobungen, sowie Inbetriebnahmen von bestehenden und neuen Anlagen-Equipments und -Komponenten
Durchführen der Neu- und Weiterentwicklungen von ganzheitlichen Antriebskonzepten (Anlagenbau)
Eigenständige Analyse von Fehlern und deren Behebung
Erstellen von Dokumentationen und Betreuung/Schulung von Anwender
Führen von Teilprojekten in interdisziplinären Teams

Dein Profil

Abschluss als Ingenieur FH in Elektrotechnik, Systemtechnik oder Automation bzw. gleichwertiger Erfahrung
Bachelor oder Master-Abschluss (ETH/FH)
Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung als SPS Entwickler im Maschinen- und Anlagenbau
Fundierte Kenntnisse in der SPS/PLC Programmierung und Weiterentwicklung von Steuerngssoftware, mit Schwerpunkt Siemens Simatic S7 – Kenntnisse von Sinumerik (von Vorteil)
Erfahrung betreffend Projektabwicklung (Erstellung von Terminplanungen, Korrespondenz mit Lieferanten, Erstellen von Status-Reports und Berichten, Offertanfragen/-vergleiche mit Bewertung, Unterstützung von Abnahmen und Qualitätsbeurteilungen, operative Freigaben)
Praktische Kenntnisse in der Leistungselektronik, Antriebstechnik und Sensorik
Verhandlungssichere Deutsch- oder Englischkenntnisse sowie die Bereitschaft Grundkenntnisse in der jeweils anderen Sprache zu erlernen sind Voraussetzung

Sie sind ein starker Teamplayer, flexibel in der Arbeitszeitgestaltung, ein kommunikativer und lösungsorientierter Macher im Team, selbständig und zielstrebig auch in zeitkritischen Situationen.
