Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.

Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.

The new team has two locations. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations. The planned takeover by AUDI AG turns two teams into a factory team – and you can be part of it.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is located in Hinwil (Switzerland).

Become part of the Power Unit Race Team. Travel worldwide and participate in trackside operations!

Your mission

SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for all powertrain performance topics, including tests, race and session preparation
Be responsible for the coordination of interdisciplinary and international teams
Manage topics with the involvement of Mission Control and the specialist departments e.g. energy management, fuel saving strategy or torque distribution (MGU-K/ICE/BBW/differential)
Perform DIL tests on test and race weekends
Document failure and be responsible for their processing
Deliver fast and concise decisions and communicate calculated risks
Remain performance-oriented and efficient whilst working under high pressure

Your profile

Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in engineering or equivalent qualification/ studies
Proven experience in data analysis with “Mc Laren Applied Atlas” or similar tools
Good understanding of the functionality, technology, and architecture of an F1 powertrain
Experience in powertrain performance and energy management
Know-how of the overall vehicle and vehicle dynamics
Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink and JIRA would be desirable
Resilient personality and strong team player, able to work under challenging conditions around the world, with high flexibility to work on weekends (overtime hours when needed)
Full professional proficiency in English and a willingness to learn a basic level of German is a prerequisite

Das neue Team hat zwei Standorte. Das Kompetenzzentrum Motorsport von Audi in Neuburg (Deutschland) gilt als eines der modernsten seiner Art in Europa. Die Formel-1-Fabrik der Sauber Group in Hinwil (Schweiz) ist bekannt für innovative Technologien und Leidenschaft für den Rennsport. Dabei kommt die Power Unit aus Neuburg, während Hinwil für die Entwicklung des Chassis sowie die Race Operations zuständig ist. Deine Aufgabe

Zentraler Ansprechpartner für alle Performance-Themen Antriebsstrang, einschliesslich Test-, Renn- und Sessions-Vorbereitungen
Verantwortung für die Koordination von interdisziplinären und internationalen Teams
Management von Performance-relevanten Themen unter Einbeziehung von Mission Control und den Fachabteilungen, z.B. Energiemanagement, Kraftstoffeinsparungsstrategie oder Drehmomentverteilung (MGU-K/ICE/BBW..)
Durchführung von „driver in loop“ Assessment an Test- und Rennwochenenden sowie Dokumentation und Bearbeitung von identifizierten Fehlern
Schnelle und präzise Entscheidungsfindung sowie Kommunikation kalkulierter Risiken
Leistungsorientiertes Arbeiten und Effizienzsteigerung unter kontinuierlich hohem Druck

Dein Profil

Bachelor- oder Master-Abschluss in Ingenieurwissenschaften oder ähnliche Qualifikation
Nachgewiesene Erfahrung in Datenanalyse insbesondere mit «McLaren Applied Atlas» oder ähnlichen Instrumenten
Gutes Verständnis für die Funktionalität, Technologie und Architektur eines F1 Antriebsstrangs
Erfahrung in Performance Antriebsstrang und Energiemanagement
Umfassendes Know-how Gesamtfahrzeug und Fahrdynamik
Erfahrung mit Matlab/Simulink und JIRA wünschenswert
Flexibilität, Leidenschaft und eine hohe Bereitschaft für Reisen rund um die Welt (insbesondere an Wochenenden mit Bereitschaft zu Überstunden)
Verhandlungssichere Englisch-Kenntnisse sowie die Bereitschaft Grundkenntnisse der deutschen Sprache zu erlernen sind Voraussetzung
